Dubai is famous for many things; sky-high architecture, year-round sun and first-class restaurants. Foodies in the city will be aware that, when it comes to oysters, some of the best from around the globe can be fished out of the sea at Dibba Bay on the coast of Fujairah. Often found in eateries around the city, the brand of oysters first launched in 2016 by Ramie Murray, an expat with a passion for aquafarming, has taken the emirate by storm. A festival dedicated to the white-shelled mollusc, the Dibba Bay Oyster Festival, will take place from Friday, February 16, until Sunday, February 25. Oysters can be picked up from Dibba Bay’s farm-to-table venues in JBR, Fujairah, and Umm Suqeim for as low as Dhs8 per oyster. Several restaurants in collaboration with Dibba Bay Oysters such as BOCA, Lowe, Geales, Juns, Byron Bathers, and more will be offering special deals which can be found on the Dibba Bay website.
