You’re beautiful, it’s true. For a generation of people, there was no escaping the breakthrough single of English singer-songwriter James Blunt. And, for those who couldn’t get enough of his 2004 global hit, there’s some amazing news as the performer has announced a show at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The pop star will bring his emotive performance and distinctive voice to the emirate in May this year as part of his Who We Used To Be tour. Of course, he’s more than just his first major song with elements of folk, pop and rock throughout his back catalogue. Other hits include 1973, Bonfire Heart, and Carry You Home from multiple albums. He returns to the Coca-Cola Arena, having performed at the City Walk venue back in 2002. Coca-Cola Arena Tickets start from Dhs150 for the Friday May 24 show and can be purchased here. James Blunt has said he admires the passion of the Dubai audience. He said: “My new album was incredibly fun to write and record, and some of the new songs will undoubtedly get you up on your feet and dancing again. I’m looking forward to returning to Dubai, it’s always amazing to perform in front of such a passionate and supportive audience.” The latest album Who We Used to Be is his seventh studio album and was critically well-received by music reviewers. And, a recent greatest hits collection The Stars Beneath My Feet went gold having sold more than 100,000 copies. From Dhs150. Fri May 24. Coca-Cola Arena, City Walk. Tickets here.
