Temporary Road Closures for UAE Tour Women Cycling Race
Be prepared for some delays while driving today – some temporary road closures are planned in the city. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority posted on X, formerly Twitter, that short intersection closures will occur between 1.30pm and 4.30pm today (Thursday March 8) for the UAE Tour Women. The Dubai-leg of the cycling race, which kicks off at Dubai Miracle Garden, will see riders race through winding streets that pass Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai Sports City before going all the way to Al Qudra and back to Dubai Harbour. Check out the route map for details on #UAETourWomen 2024 held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please be advised that during the race, traffic will be temporarily suspended for 10-15 minutes at specific street intersections while runners are passing.
- The closures are expected to last about 10 to 15 minutes in each area and once the competitors have passed, the roads will be reopened to the public. For a look at the timings of the closures and the roads affected, check out at the map below. (Credit: Supplied)
