Metro Access Temporarily Closed
Metro access to Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates will be temporarily cut off this week due to a mall-wide Civil Defence-driven evacuation exercise. The metro entry and exit for the Mall of the Emirates will be closed from 8.30am on Wednesday, February 21 until further notice is given.
A warning sign en route to the Mall of the Emirates metro stop has appeared in recent days, notifying visitors of the temporary closure during the evacuation drill.
No one will be permitted to enter the mall during the drill, but Dubai Metro operations will continue as usual. Passengers needing to exit at the Mall of the Emirates stop for reasons other than mall access will still be able to do so.
The Civil Defence conducts regular drills across Dubai to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies, working closely with the local fire department to maintain consistent safety standards throughout the emirate.
