Turn your head to the skies as a pink moon is set to rise over Dubai next week.
Marking the change of seasons and falling around the spring equinox, the pink moon will make its annual appearance for 2024 on Tuesday April 23.
Despite the name, the moon itself is not actually bright pink, with the title coming from the spring flowers and blossoms typically blooming at this time of year.

Go night swimming at Kite Beach
Fancy an evening dip under the full moon?
Opening up for night swimming last year, Kite Beach could be a perfect place to cool down as you bask in the moonlight. Look up at the sky as you bob in the water and enjoy the surroundings.
After your dip in the sea, you can grab something for dinner at one of the many outdoor restaurants.
Free, sunset to sunrise every day, Kite Beach, Umm Suqeim.
Get stargazing in the desert
If you’ve got a telescope or stargazing equipment, taking a trip to the desert would be a perfect evening to look at the moon with a closer lens.
Or if you just want to use your own eyes, take a drive out and admire the clear skies and wonders above.
Watch the moon rise at The View
The highest point on the Palm, the vantage point has 360 degree views over Dubai. Book a slot for sunset and watch the day end on one side, before seeing the pink moon arrive on the other.
Located at quite a height, you can get up close (as close as you can get) to the pink moon, and enjoy a refreshment at the top.
