Chances are you have lounged at a few beach clubs during your time in Dubai, and understandably too.
Not only can you enjoy a day in horizontal mode on a comfy sunbed, but tuck into some tasty Dubai delicacies, all with a side order of a great vista.
As summer makes its way to Dubai, a few of your favourite beach clubs will be shutting down for the summer period due to the sweltering heat.
So, it’s time to make the most of their offerings before they fold away the towels and take down their parasols (well, for a few months at least).
The beach clubs in Dubai closing soon
DRIFT Beach: Closing from mid-June until September
One of the chicest beach clubs in Dubai, DRIFT is the OG when it comes to living the luxe life on the sand. Without a fixed date to share, the club housed at the exclusive One&Only Royal Mirage is set to close from around mid-June. Expect a gorgeous infinity pool, 1km of private beach and a menu of French grape and Mediterranean cuisine. With super views across to the skyscrapers of the Marina and a backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, this is one of the most elegant and best beach clubs in Dubai and definitely worth one last visit – or two!
Closing in June. One&Only Royal Mirage, Al Sufouh, driftbeachdubai.com (04 315 2200).
Summersalt: Closing from July 15 until September 15
A beach club on the more expensive end of the scale, Summersalt is an upmarket beach club found at Jumeirah Al Naseem. With views of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah it’s a top shout for visitors, especially ones who are looking to tan and sip on mixed drinks rather than party the day away. Plus, it regularly hosts yoga classes on the beach with one of the city’s best backdrops (think ‘seven-star hotel’) making it a great all-rounder of a club. There’s a tasty poolside menu with Latino bites to get stuck into, too.
Closing in July 15. Jumeirah Al Naseem, @summersaltbeachclub (800 323 232).
WHITE Beach: Closing from July 1 until August 31
Coming from the team behind WHITE nightclub, you know what you’re in for when it comes to WHITE Beach. And that is a high-end yet fun-loving venue with entertainment, DJs and free-flowing drinks. WHITE has 300m of poolside lounging thanks to its huge infinity pool, private beach and bohemian-esque décor. Fancy splashing out, quite literally? Six luxury cabanas come with their own private plunge pools. With a backdrop of Atlantis The Palm, this cool spot is ripe for the ’gram, and is one of the best beach clubs in Dubai. You have until July 1 to bag a spot here.
Closing July 1. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah, @whitebeach (04 426 0700).
Soul Beach: Closing from first week of July
This out-of-town spot is well-known for its live events and beach parties, drawing in top DJs for events on the sand. Located at Jebel Ali, it’s a top beach club for a day out that also lets you escape the city, with holiday vibes and a lively feel. Décor is vibrant, the pool is refreshing and the live events are more than enough to draw the crowds come the weekend.
