Iconic Scottish band Deacon Blue kicks off Euro 2024 on Friday June 14 with a greatest hits concert at the Coca-Cola Fanzone by McGettigan’s, located at The Agenda in Dubai Media City.
After wowing the crowd with hit after hit, a giant screen will descend from the roof to show The Euros opening ceremony and the first game of the tournament, when the hosts Germany take on Scotland.
Celebrating over three decades of hits, Deacon Blue will launch a month of football festivities with their “All The Old 45s, The Very Best of Deacon Blue” tour, marking the grand opening of the Coca-Cola Fanzone by McGettigan’s. Expect the band to belt out all of your favourite songs including ‘Dignity’, ‘Real Gone Kid’ and ‘Fergus Sings The Blues’. Doors open at 5pm, with Deacon Blue on stage at 8pm sharp, before all eyes will be on the Germany v Scotland opener at 11pm.
After Deacon Blue, the next big concert at Coca-Cola Fanzone by McGettigan’s features Irish pop-rock band ‘Picture This’ on Friday June 28, one of the non-match days of The Euros.
“Picture This” is widely regarded as one of the biggest bands in Ireland and among the nation’s hottest musical exports. The band comprises the charismatic vocalist Ryan Hennessy, drummer Jimmy Rainsford, guitarist Owen Cardiff, and bassist Cliff Deane, each bringing their unique energy and talent to the stage.
Tickets to both concerts are priced at Dhs195 per person. Match tickets are priced at Dhs55.

The Agenda in Dubai Media City will be transformed for the month into a cool air-conditioned Fanzone with astroturf throughout and a giant 20-metre screen dominating the indoor arena.
