Indian stand-up comedian and chess prodigy Samay Raina will perform a live show at Emirates Theatre in Jumeirah. His YouTube stand-up special Narak has garnered over 4 million views to date while his sketches are also racking up the views online.

June 21 – June 29: The Laughter Factory
One of the UK’s finest stand-ups and double-award-winning comedian Paul Tonkinson, veteran Pierre Hollins and Filipina comedian Imah Dumagay are all on the bill for June’s Laughter Factory shows. Catch the trio at four venues across the city: the Mövenpick Hotel JBR, Dukes The Palm, Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Radisson Hotel DAMAC Hills.

October 19: Ardal O’Hanlon
One of the most well-loved comedians in the UK and Ireland, is bringing his live stand-up show to Dubai later this year. Perhaps best known for playing Father Dougal McGuire in the farcical 90s Irish sitcom Father Ted, Ardal O’Hanlon has been a stand-up performer in his own right for more than 30 years. The comedy legend will take to the stage on Saturday October 19 at the Theatre by QE2 as part of his global The Showing Off Must Go On tour.

October 25: Romesh Ranganathan
The deadpan and self-deprecating British comedian Romesh Ranganathan is bringing his new live show to the Coca-Cola Arena on Friday October 25. The former maths teacher has become one of the most recognisable names in the UK comedy scene since quitting his role in education. He is the latest host of the British version of The Weakest Link and has taken over from James Corden as host of the comedy sports quiz A League of Their Own. Tickets are now on sale from Dhs195.

November 9: Jake Lambert
English comedian Jake Lambert will return to Dubai for a solo show in November having opened for Michael McIntyre at the Coca-Cola arena earlier in the year. His show will be at the Theatre By QE2 with tickets starting from Dhs150. Dubbed a “joke machine” by The Telegraph in his homeland, the comedian will talk about his everyday life and why he has a fear of being normal. His online videos have been viewed more than 150 million times and he will appear on the next series of UK TV stand-up showcase Live at the Apollo.

He was one of the headline acts of the Dubai Comedy Festival this year but was not able to perform due to the worst storm in the history of the UAE. He will return to the emirate later this year with his pub landlord stage persona. The comic is a famous name in the UK comedy scene having hosted multiple TV shows and appeared on some of the biggest and most popular panel shows on the circuit.
