New bars in Dubai
Aether
The city is packed with top-secret bars for intimate gatherings or solo outings, and Aether should be on your radar. This ultra-cool speakeasy is concealed within the property’s walls, themed around water, earth, air and fire. When visiting, you can expect a relaxed yet alluring ambience, with a venue featuring hues of red and amber and a capacity for 32 seats in a cosy setting.

Bitter Honey
Located in the lobby of The Lana, Bitter Honey is a bar where mixologists create drinks made with botanics and local honey. It also serves up a selection of elevated bites in a space of warm dark woods and jewel-tone furniture.

Brass Monkey
Quirky entertainment spot Brass Monkey has opened its second Dubai location in City Walk. Expect the same fun vibes as its OG Bluewaters location. The spacious venue boasts plenty of arcade games, retro video games, bowling alleys, pool tables and more. You can also dine on tasty American cuisine including burgers, wings and much more. A one-stop-fun-shop for big kids.

Copperhead
This rustic spot is giving industrial chic vibes, so pop down and get a table next to the huge copper barrels. Make sure you order the truffle tots or the slow-cooked beef and onion pie for something a little heavier. If you would rather sit outside, move over to the terrace with incredible views of Dubai Creek, and enjoy an afternoon or evening relaxing at the latest gastro-pub on the scene.

GATE TWO
Fans of Meydan nightlife stalwart Iris have a new venue to try. Open every Thursday and Friday from 10pm, this is a music studio and creative space by day and an intimate club by night. Partygoers are encouraged to live in the moment with no photos or videos allowed. Thursdays promise a blend of deep house and melodic techno by 404_NotFound and Fridays offer edgy electronic beats and international DJs.

Goose Island Tap House
Open since early March 2024, Goose Island Tap House is the most casual dining option of FIVE’s dining options and is the first to open out of the five dining venues soon to be available. If you’re familiar with an English gastro-pub, this is it and then some.
Expect craft hops, hearty pub food and of course, good old-fashioned fun in the shape of darts or pinballs.

High Five Bar and Lounge

If you’re a fan of sleek interiors, an extensive beverage list and a decent shisha selection, head along to High Five Bar and Lounge. It’s opened its doors on the fifth floor of Four Points by Sheraton Production City Dubai, and if their Instagram is anything to go by, you’ll be sure to have a good time.

Harbour Bar
A new bar has opened at Dubai’s Hilton Garden Inn Al Mina, offering sports fans live coverage of their favourite events and those who enjoy a beverage or two an extensive drinks selection. A range of great dishes are also on offer, including pub classics like beef and chicken burgers.

Hush Hush
Most certainly not one for the gram, Hush Hush is a laid-back late-night haunt with a no-photos policy. The bar’s warm wooden interior gives it a retro speakeasy vibe as you dust off the evening with a night-cap. A diverse range of mixed drinks are on offer as well as pizzas from The Nice Guy.

Paradiso
Experimental bar Paradiso, which is located at FIVE LUXE JBR is helmed by mixologist Giacomo Giannotti, who has come to Dubai to promise a beverage masterpiece inside the experimental world of Paradiso.
Expect bunsen-burner style delivery, with substance. Alongside Giannotti will be chef David Gil Rovira, whose expertise in Spanish cuisine makes the perfect pairing. No smoke and mirrors in this place.

So Much Trouble
This one is for the dedicated followers of fashion, combining a mixed drinks bar with the best of a luxury fashion house. Next to Papas at the Intercontinental Dubai Marina, it will combine fruity mixed drinks with seasonal must-haves of some of the fashion world’s biggest brands such as Hermes, Chanel and Givenchy.

Sphere at The Link
One more mixed drinks bar to add to your list. The Sphere at The Link is a chic and futuristic destination with panoramic views, creative mixed beverages, and some great live entertainment.

Tiger Strikes
The new sports and games bar has got everything you need to stay entertained for an evening – think cricket simulators, bowling lanes and even state-of-the-art darts.
A fully-licensed venue, you can step in the batting cage and practice your swings, or just chill with a big plate of jalapeno poppers, your choice.

Txakolina
This concept will be a hidden Cuban roll lounge, serving more than 45 kinds of rolls from Cuba to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. Take a drag while you enjoy vinyl and sip on top-shelf stuff. It’s invite-only and that just makes us want to go more.

Triple 7
A new adult’s arcade and bar that blends nostalgia with nightlife has opened its doors in Dubai. Triple 7 located at Radisson Blu Canal View Hotel in Business Bay will take you back to the ’80s and ’90s. The centrepiece of Triple 7 is its collection of arcade games spanning decades, from classic pinball machines and nostalgic eight-bit video games to modern virtual reality experiences. Here you can challenge friends to competitive rounds or go on a solo adventure that’ll take you back to your childhood.

Veranda
The open-air space is where you can explore a lush garden bar serving signature mixed drinks, bubbly, and grape by the glass, paired with a sharing menu of tapas and international dishes with a Levantine influence.

New pubs in Dubai
Fibber Magees
The treasured Irish pub recently opened up a second location for the first time in 28 years. Tucked away in the former site of the Crown and Lion, head along to enjoy some traditional live music, sports games and perhaps a pint of the black stuff.

Players House
Located at Andaz Hotel on the Palm, Players House can be described as a multi-use space that’s home to a sports lounge, barber shop, a music and podcast studio, and a VIP club, all under one roof. Expect oversized couches, a cool bar and a selection of elevated pub dishes like a hearty Wagyu cheeseburger, jumbo prawns, Angus tenderloin and more.

New beach bars in Dubai
BCH:CLB
BCH:CLB opened at W Dubai — The Palm on January 1, welcomed in by DJ Roger Sanchez. Designed to ‘redefine poolside leisure’, the venue is bright white with pops of neon orange with art installations throughout the venue. Even the pool has an embossed BCH:CLB logo on the bottom. A day-to-night beach club, there’s a Mediterranean menu and day beds for hire with a Dhs350 minimum spend. Once you’ve got your spot, you won’t want to leave.

Maison de la Plage
Chef Izu Ani, the man behind GAIA and carine has expanded his La Maison Ani brand by launching Maison de la Plage, a beachside destination featuring comfy sun beds, a pool and a cool beachy restaurant. The space is meant to resemble the sun-drenched shores of the Côte d’Azur and at the heart of the venue is the beach house and the market, which is a call-back to Ani’s lucky encounter with his wife in a market in France. The beach-style restaurant serves up artisanal bread, fruits de mer, and fresh produce, paying homage to the Mediterranean and its flavours. Signature dishes of the new restaurant include salade Niçoise, snails with butter and anchovies and (of course) lobster linguine.

PLAYA PACHA
Legendary nightlife brand Pacha has debuted its first-ever pool and private beach club concept at FIVE LUXE, JBR. Here you can enjoy Mediterranean dishes and creative sips, while a lineup of live Ibiza-style entertainment will keep you on your feet. Here, it’s all about experiencing Spanish party vibes in the heart of JBR.

New pool clubs in Dubai
Tapasake Pool Club
Tapasake, a Latin American restaurant serving up contemporary Japanese-Peruvian cuisine and mixed drinks, is right next to the world’s longest suspended infinity pool at the One&Only One Za’beel. Primarily an eatery, but you can hire pool beds here and make a day of it. If you like your pool club’s fancy, this is the one. And now you can get free pool access when you book a brunch at UAE’s longest infinity pool.
