If so, you have the opportunity to influence the city’s public transportation framework by proposing new bus or marine routes to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

With the S’hail app, you can actively participate in designing and suggesting new bus and marine service routes tailored to your specific needs. Not only can you vote on proposed routes, but you can also recommend new ones. Your feedback will aid the RTA in evaluating the feasibility of adding new bus stops or marine stations, ultimately enhancing Dubai’s public transport network and services.

How to Vote or Suggest New RTA Public Transport Routes:

1. Get the S’hail App:

• Download the S’hail app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It’s free, user-friendly, and easy to install.

2. Launch the App:

• Open the S’hail app on your device. Locate the ‘More’ button at the bottom of your screen and tap it to explore additional features.

3. Access the ‘Suggest a Route’ Feature:

• Scroll through the options and select ‘Suggest a Route’ to initiate the process of proposing or voting on routes that meet your needs.

4. Select Your Route Type:

• Choose between bus routes or marine routes by tapping on the relevant option. This allows you to focus on the specific mode of transport you are interested in.

5. Participate in Voting or Suggesting:

• You have two options: either vote on the routes proposed by other users or suggest a completely new route that you believe would enhance the service.

6. Create Your Custom Route:

• To propose a new route, utilize the interactive map feature. Drag the red pin to your starting location and the blue pin to your desired destination. This visual tool simplifies the process of identifying where you want the new route to begin and end.

7. Provide Additional Details:

• After setting your route, you’ll be prompted to answer a few questions to help the RTA understand your needs better:
  • Frequency of Use: Indicate how often you would utilize this proposed route.
  • Journey Improvement: Specify if this route will enhance your travel experience at the start, end, or both.
  • Person of Determination: Let the RTA know if you are a Person of Determination, as this information may influence route planning.

8. Submit Your Suggestion:

• After filling in all the details, tap ‘Continue’ to submit your suggestion to the RTA. Your proposed route will then be made available for other users to vote on within the S’hail app.

If your suggestion gains enough support, it could become a reality, transforming your commute and enhancing the city’s transport network for everyone.
