Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, is set to celebrate in grand style for the upcoming national festivities. In an announcement that has residents and visitors buzzing with excitement, Dubai has unveiled a month-long series of spectacular events to honor UAE Flag Day and the forthcoming UAE National Day. From UAE Flag Day on Sunday, November 3, to UAE National Day on Monday, December 2, an array of activities will take place at some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, including Expo City, Dubai Frame, Museum of the Future, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Airports. As the nation prepares to celebrate its 53rd birthday, expect to see dazzling light displays and breathtaking fireworks throughout the month.
This vibrant celebration has been orchestrated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the second deputy ruler of Dubai, as well as the chairman of the Dubai Media Council and Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office. A total of 16 government, semi-government, and private sector organizations in Dubai will collaborate to organize a variety of events and activities under this campaign.
UAE Flag Day and UAE National Day Events
This year’s festivities for UAE Flag Day and UAE National Day draw inspiration from the founding fathers, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in order to reinforce the national identity within the community. Emirati Cultural Events
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority will be hosting special events at key cultural destinations, encouraging visitors to delve into the rich history and culture of the Emirati people. Recommended sites for exploring Emirati culture include:

The UAE Flag Garden Returns
The UAE Flag Garden will make a grand return next month for its 11th edition, this time paying homage to the two founding fathers of the nation. Located near the iconic Burj Al Arab, the garden will feature a stunning field of flags set against the magnificent backdrop of this landmark. While the exact date for the garden’s unveiling has not been disclosed, it is anticipated to debut in conjunction with Flag Day on Sunday, November 3.
A Special Concert Celebrating UAE National Day at Expo City
Expo City will host two free public concerts in celebration of the 53rd UAE National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad, at the breathtaking Al Wasl Dome. The Firdaus Orchestra, an all-women ensemble based in the UAE, will perform a selection of beloved Emirati national songs. The Al Wasl Plaza will be adorned with UAE flags and traditional Emirati decorations, accompanied by cultural performances. Additionally, the plaza will feature the Emirati Harvest Market, showcasing locally grown agricultural and food products.
Dubai Frame and Parks to Light Up for Eid Al Etihad
In a show of unity and celebration, Dubai Municipality has announced that major parks, the Dubai Frame, Dubai Safari Park, and the Deira Clock Tower roundabout will be illuminated with spectacular light displays in honor of UAE National Day. The municipality will also organize various events under the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, which includes educational workshops and activities across several venues, such as Children’s City.
Visitors Arriving in Dubai Airports to Be Serenaded
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai will also join the festivities at Dubai Airports. A dedicated area at both Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central Airport will showcase official UAE National Day celebrations, centered around the theme of maritime heritage—reflecting the city’s roots as a historic fishing port. Visitors arriving at these entry points will be warmly welcomed with traditional national songs, setting the tone for the celebratory spirit. Additionally, various Emirati cultural events and traditional performances will take place, highlighting the richness of Emirati customs, values, and identity.
Fireworks, Parades, and Concerts for Union Day
As part of the festivities, renowned Arab artists and traditional performances will be featured at some of Dubai’s most prestigious venues, promising an unforgettable experience. A Union Day Parade will take place at City Walk on Monday, December 2, showcasing traditional dances, cultural performances, and a vibrant carnival atmosphere. Spectacular fireworks displays will light up the evenings of December 2 and 3 at various locations, including JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta, and Dubai Festival City Mall. Additionally, seasonal markets and special offers at restaurants and hotels will enhance the celebratory ambiance. Hatta will also join the festivities, offering fireworks, traditional folk dances, and live music to showcase the area’s cultural heritage, while Global Village will present nightly fireworks throughout the celebrations.
Museum of the Future, Mall of the Emirates, and RTA Bridges to Get a Makeover
The Museum of the Future will be adorned with flags that feature the #ZayedAndRashid campaign logo, which symbolizes the founders shaking hands. During the celebration period, tickets to the museum will also showcase this logo, and a special commemorative video will be shared across social media platforms. Major shopping destinations, such as City Centre Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates, will be decorated from Friday, November 15, to Saturday, December 7, offering a mix of entertainment and educational events, including live music. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will illuminate key streets and bridges in Dubai with the national flag and festive lights. Iconic locations such as the Infinity Bridge and Business Bay Crossing will be lit up, while electronic screens on the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will display the #ZayedAndRashid logo. Wasl Asset Management Group will also contribute to the celebrations by lighting up several of its properties, including the Wasl Experience Centre, Dar Wasl, Wasl 51, and Wasl 1.
