The Middle East’s largest sports and music festival is returning later this month, and the excitement is palpable! Taking place over the UAE National Day long weekend, the Emirates Dubai 7s is one of the most eagerly awaited events on the annual calendar. This year, it promises to be more spectacular than ever, featuring two headline music acts alongside an array of live sports that will keep everyone entertained. While tickets are available for the performances by Stormzy and Sugababes, there are also numerous family-friendly activities at the Sevens Stadium that won’t cost a dime.
Over 5,000 athletes will compete in sports as diverse as rugby, padel, netball, cricket, and fitness throughout this weekend-long event. The festivities kick off on Friday, November 29, designated as ‘Family Friday,’ where entry is completely free for anyone who registers online. Additionally, children under the age of four can attend free of charge for the entire weekend. Although the opening day won’t feature international stars, visitors can still enjoy performances by local artists and DJs, as well as individual sports across the festival grounds.

This year’s jungle-themed Wild Zone promises to be a hit with kids, offering a vibrant array of activities. Children will encounter a breakdancing gorilla and a playful monkey, inviting them to join in the fun. They can also enjoy:
- Butterfly hunting with the chance to find exotic creatures.
- Balloon artists creating jungle-themed animals.
- Giant board games for some friendly competition.
- Massive inflatables for climbing and jumping.
- Jungle-themed virtual reality experiences.
As night falls, families can gather at an outdoor kids’ cinema, screening family-friendly films on a big screen from 6 PM to 9 PM each night of the 7s, complete with cozy beanbag chairs and complimentary popcorn. For kids who enjoy a lively atmosphere, the mini rugby ravers tent will feature kid-friendly bars and drink stations, along with a fully equipped mini-stage complete with rigging, lighting, and a professional DJ setup. There will also be sporty pop-up activities designed for kids to run around and enhance their skills.

The Sevens Stadium is set to be buzzing with activity! General admission on Friday is free, while tickets for Saturday and Sunday are priced at Dhs425 each day. Ticket registration can be done for free on the Emirates Dubai 7s website. For those looking to attend the entire weekend, a full weekend pass is available for Dhs550. Children aged 10 to 14 can purchase a weekend pass for Dhs115, while children aged 4 to 9 can attend for just Dhs40. Kids under four can join in for free. For families, a special family pass for two adults and two children for the weekend is available at a cost of Dhs1,064.
