The highly anticipated Dubai Shopping Festival is returning, bringing with it 38 thrilling days filled with spectacular displays that will illuminate the city’s iconic skyline. This year marks the festival’s 30th anniversary, promising a month-long celebration of vibrant fireworks, stunning drone shows, and dazzling light displays set against some of Dubai’s most famous landmarks.
Among the exciting events planned is a massive display at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, where the impressive Ain Dubai serves as a stunning backdrop. Visitors can expect thrilling skydiving stunts, captivating pyrotechnics, and synchronized drone performances. Free drone shows will take place twice daily at the same location, paying homage to the festival’s three-decade legacy. Additionally, the “Dubai Lights” initiative will feature engaging, interactive light installations at various hotspots across the city.
Since its inception in 1996, the Dubai Shopping Festival has evolved from a retail extravaganza into a citywide celebration that showcases the very best of Dubai to both locals and visitors alike. This annual festival not only offers unbeatable bargains but also high-quality entertainment, making it a must-visit event from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, January 16.
Daily Dubai Shopping Festival Fireworks
Experience the skyline at its most breathtaking every night at 8:30 PM during the Dubai Shopping Festival from the Dubai Festival City Mall. Additionally, every Friday and Saturday, the Hajar Mountains in Hatta will be illuminated with spectacular pyrotechnics.
Daily Dubai Shopping Festival Drone Shows
Prepare to be mesmerized by the stunning drone shows, presented by Emarat and AO Drones, at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR. These free shows will occur twice nightly at 8 PM and 10 PM, featuring an impressive display of 1,000 drones taking to the sky.
The drone shows will feature two distinct themes throughout the festival. From Friday, December 6, to Thursday, December 26, the theme will honor the last three decades of the Dubai Shopping Festival. Following that, from Friday, December 27, to Sunday, January 12, the performances will celebrate a fusion of tradition and modernity, enhanced by powerful beats and innovative sound effects.
Additionally, two extraordinary pyro-drone shows are set to take place during the festival. On Friday, December 13, a thrilling display featuring 150 pyro-drones and skydiving stunts will commence at 8 PM at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, with Ain Dubai as the backdrop. A second show without skydivers will follow at 10 PM. To wrap up the festival on Friday, January 11, another spectacular show featuring 150 pyro-drones will be held at the same location.
Dubai Lights during Dubai Shopping Festival
This year, Dubai Lights returns to enchant visitors with immersive installations that will transform the emirate’s most iconic locations. Expect unique, interactive art pieces at various destinations including Bluewaters Island, Palm Nakheel Mall, Palm West Beach, Al Seef, Dubai Design District, and Al Marmoom.
These installations will be crafted by renowned international artists, designers, and architects, ensuring that each location showcases a distinctive piece of art that contributes to the overall festive atmosphere.
