Where I’m going: Right now, I’m focused on fitness, but when I’m not hitting the treadmill this weekend, I’m treating myself to a relaxing spa day. I’ll be visiting Coya for a rejuvenating facial and a full body massage, which my sore muscles are definitely craving. Currently, the Business Bay spa is offering an enticing deal: enjoy a complimentary 60-minute massage with a booked Vitamin C facial. Check out the lush offers available in Dubai right now at some of the most beautiful wellness spots.
Dhs650. Offer ongoing. Open daily 11am-10pm. Saas Tower, 6B Marasi Drive, Business Bay, @coyaspapremium
What I’m eating: Dubai is home to some fantastic matcha bars and I’ve fully embraced this trend. After a refreshing cold plunge at the new wellness hotspot Peaq Wellness in Al Quoz, I’ll head downstairs to grab one of its nutritious mixes crafted by Matcha Union (if you know, you know!).
Prices vary. Open daily 7.30am-10pm. Al Quoz, peaqwellness.ae (058 826 9066).
There’s no way I’m missing: soaking up the sun at Alizée Pool and Beach Club at Banyan Tree Dubai. The Mediterranean vibe is simply irresistible, and I plan to secure a front-row sun lounger for the day. If you’re looking for a similar experience, check out its French Riviera-inspired offerings and explore the other amazing pool day passes in Dubai.
Dhs400 (Dhs200 redeemable Mon-Thurs), Dhs600 (with Dhs300 redeemable Fri-Sun). Open daily 7am-7pm. Banyan Tree Dubai, Bluewaters Dubai, banyantree.com (04 556 6466).

Where I’m going: I’ll be playing the role of tour guide for my parents, who are visiting Dubai for the very first time. My mission is to showcase as many of the emirate’s iconic skyscrapers and quirky architectural wonders as possible. I’ll embrace the unusual experience of being a tourist in the city I call home, visiting landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Dubai Mall.
What I’m eating: Where better to take first-time visitors than Time Out Market? With a plethora of the city’s favorite bites all in one place, it’s the ideal spot for newcomers. The options are endless, but every time I share photos of the rainbow heirloom carrots from Little Jun’s on my social media, my friends back home flood my DMs, asking about the dish. You simply have to try it!
Mon-Thu noon-midnight, Fri noon-1am, Sat 10am-1am, Sun 10am-midnight. Souk Al Bahar, Downtown Dubai, timeoutmarket.com/dubai.
There’s no way I’m missing: I like to think of myself as a cultured individual, but deep down, there’s a little kid in me who gets excited by fireworks. There’s something magical about the big booms lighting up the night sky. This weekend, I’ll definitely catch the show at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, against the backdrop of Ain Dubai. I wonder when that will be reopening, anyway?
Sun Dec 1. 8pm. Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR

Where I’m going: This long weekend, my goal is to take full advantage of the fabulous deals available for UAE National Day. I’m starting with an incredible night swimming deal at Tapasake, where I can enjoy the stunning rooftop infinity pool for just Dhs200 (what a steal!). This spot has been on my bucket list for quite some time, and I’m eager to finally dive in.
Dhs200 (Dhs100 redeemable). Mon Dec 2, 8pm-midnight. The Link, Za’abeel 1, tapasakedubai.com (04 666 1617).
What I’m eating: A public holiday, in my opinion, is a perfect excuse to treat myself. For me, that treat means indulging in a pizza from Za Za Slice. Whether I dine in or grab a 20-inch ‘The Red’ (stracciatella and hot honey) to go, I’ll head straight to Kite Beach to watch the sunset while savoring every last bite.
Prices vary. Sun-Thu 1pm-1am, Fri-Sat 1pm-4am. South Heights Tower A, Shop 4, @zazaslice (04 337 6679).
There’s no way I’m missing: I still haven’t visited the UAE flag garden at Umm Suqeim Beach, and it would be a missed opportunity not to go and snap a few photos for Instagram. While it’s gorgeous from the ground, just check out these aerial shots to see its beauty from above.
Open until Fri Jan 10. Umm Suqeim Beach.

Where I’m going: I’ve decided to seize the long weekend for a little getaway to Egypt. However, I’ll be sure to take full advantage of all the luxurious amenities at Dubai International Airport, including lounge access for a comfortable pre-flight experience.
What I’m eating: I plan to grab a quick meal at Five Guys before indulging in some Duty Free shopping. My family has a sweet tooth, so I’ll stock up on various chocolates and candies for them. While I’m excited about my trip, I know I’ll miss Dubai while I’m away.
