UAE National Day Celebrations: A Long Weekend Extravaganza
The long-awaited UAE National Day weekend has arrived, and the excitement is palpable across the nation. This year, the United Arab Emirates proudly celebrates its 53rd birthday on Monday, December 2. To commemorate this significant occasion, a multitude of vibrant Eid Al Etihad festivities are planned throughout the country.
While the grandest celebration will take place in Al Ain, every emirate is gearing up to host various celebration zones, inviting residents and visitors alike to join in on the festivities. In Dubai, a plethora of events will feature dazzling fireworks, lively parades, and captivating traditional music performances.
Fireworks Displays Across Dubai
If you’re a fan of fireworks, Dubai has an abundance of options for you over the National Day weekend. Spectacular displays will be held at four different locations on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3:
- Al Seef
- Dubai Festival City Mall
- Hatta
- JBR Beach
Additionally, City Walk will host an exciting Eid Al Etihad Parade and a musical concert to mark the occasion. Celebration zones will also be set up at Mirdif City Centre, Dubai Festival City Mall, Mercato, and Town Centre, ensuring that everyone can partake in the jubilant atmosphere.
Emirati Eats and Cultural Performances
Top restaurants across the emirate are joining in the celebration with a special initiative called Emirati Eats, which will showcase traditional local cuisine on their menus. Furthermore, live music performances will play a pivotal role in the festivities, highlighted by two free concerts featuring the renowned Firdaus Orchestra at Expo City.
For those who prefer to enjoy the festivities from a different vantage point, a live broadcast of the Eid Al Etihad celebrations will be available at five prominent locations in Dubai:

In Abu Dhabi, the municipality and Majalis Abu Dhabi are organizing special zones for the occasion. Al Ain will be the hub of the main festivities, with additional events at Al Jahli Park, Towayya Park, and Hili Fun City.
Sharjah will host an artistic evening at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, along with activities at Al Batayih, Al Hamriyah Beach and Park, and the Sharjah Museums Authority. Meanwhile, Ajman will celebrate at the Garden of Happiness, Marsa Ajman, and Al Jurf Family Park.
Ras Al Khaimah is set to showcase the sixth season of its RAK EATS festival, along with a spectacular Ras Al Khaimah Police Parade at Corniche Al Qawasim and the Al Rams Festival. In Umm Al Quwain, the Department of Tourism and Archaeology will present an event filled with cultural significance. Fujairah, not to be outdone, will host an impressive 16 celebrations across the emirate, with highlights at Al Tawyeen, Al Baha Majlis, and Dibba City.
