Exciting News: New Parks Coming to Dubai
We’re thrilled to share that the Dubai Municipality has recently announced plans to construct 55 new parks across Dubai in the upcoming months. While these new outdoor spaces are still on the horizon, there are numerous existing parks where families can enjoy the outdoors. Whether you’re looking for a serene spot to relax, a shaded area to soak up the sun, a place to get fit for free, or fun activities for the kids over the weekend, here’s a curated list of some of the best parks currently available in Dubai.
Al Barari Playground
Parents who have visited Al Barari Playground understand why this location is a must-visit. The sandy outdoor play area features floating bridges, a massive wooden pirate ship, treehouses, cargo nets, and slides, making it a paradise for little adventurers. Adults can also appreciate the peaceful atmosphere that Al Barari offers.

Al Barsha Pond Park
While Al Barsha Pond Park may not be the largest park, its charm lies in its relaxed vibe. With fresh date palms, flower-lined hedges, and a picturesque central lake, it’s a perfect escape from the bustling city. If you need some downtime, grab a good book and unwind in nature. For those seeking physical activity, there’s a cushioned 1.5km running track, a cycle trail, and facilities for tennis, football, and volleyball. Families will appreciate the dedicated children’s play area and the option to rent pedalos, solar-powered boats, or Go-Karts.

Al Ittihad Park
For a refreshing dose of greenery, Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah is an ideal location. Home to over 100 varieties of trees and plants, this scenic oasis is perfect for relaxation. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the 3.2km running track, suitable for jogging or leisurely walks.

Al Khazzan Park
Al Khazzan Park, located near a historic blue and white water tower, may be smaller than other parks, but it boasts impressive credentials as the UAE’s first ‘zero energy’, solar-powered park. This urban sanctuary features comfortable lounging areas, wooden tables, and a well-equipped children’s play area. For an effortless day out, stop by City Walk for delicious snacks before heading to the park.

Al Mamzar Beach Park
Al Mamzar Beach Park is a must-visit destination, combining lush greenery, pristine beaches, and crystal-clear waters. There are also kiosks available for all your park essentials, and the snorkeling opportunities in the shallow waters are excellent.

Dubai Creek Park
A classic choice, Dubai Creek Park is an iconic destination that combines a nostalgic charm with botanical gardens and stunning waterfront views. JLT Dog Park
For dog owners, JLT Dog Park is a fantastic option as it welcomes dogs of all sizes and breeds. This 475 sq m park offers a clean and safe environment for pets to exercise, featuring sand pits, open grassy areas, shaded spots, play equipment, and a gated off-leash section.

Mushrif Park
Mushrif Park is a nature lover’s paradise, sprawling over five square kilometers and featuring a lush Ghaf-tree forest teeming with wildlife. The park is equipped with an equestrian center, running tracks, swimming pools, sports courts, children’s play areas, and even a mini Global Village with traditional houses. Adventure seekers can try the high rope course and zip-lining at Aventura Park, or take a spin on the new mountain bike track.

Town Square Park
Though beloved by Dubailand residents, Town Square Park deserves more recognition from those living further away. X Park JR
X Park JR is a delightful, nature-inspired playground that offers a break from screens and a chance for kids to explore. This mud-filled wonderland features treehouses, climbing bridges, wooden forts, splash areas, streams, sandpits, and climbing nets. There are even friendly farm animals and an on-site café for refreshments.

Zabeel Park
Zabeel Park stands out with its vast offerings, including extensive grassy areas, picnic spots, barbecue facilities, a running track, playgrounds, restaurants, and a boating lake. It is also home to three interactive kid-friendly ‘edutainment’ centers, the eco-friendly Dubai Garden Glow, the Dinosaur Park, and the iconic Dubai Frame.
