Exploring the Burj Khalifa: An Iconic Landmark

There is no doubt that the Burj Khalifa stands as one of Dubai’s most recognizable landmarks. As the tallest building in the world, reaching a staggering height of 828 meters, it dominates the skyline and is visible from virtually every corner of the city. But is a trip to Dubai truly complete without stepping inside this architectural marvel? Completed in 2010, the Burj Khalifa spans 163 floors and is anchored in the bustling heart of Downtown Dubai. While a significant portion of the tower houses luxury residences and office spaces, it also offers an array of attractions for tourists, including hotel stays, spa treatments, and dining experiences high above the city.

One of the most popular ways to experience the Burj Khalifa is through the “At The Top” experience, which allows visitors to witness the sprawling metropolis of Dubai from an incredible vantage point. Although the experience does not take you to the very peak of the tower—only eight individuals have successfully climbed to the tip—At The Top provides an unforgettable perspective from levels 124 and 125.

The entrance to this experience is conveniently located on the ground floor of the adjacent Dubai Mall. The classic package starts at Dhs179 and includes access to an observation deck, an outdoor terrace, and breathtaking panoramic views, along with several photo opportunities and a gift shop for souvenirs. Before ascending, guests will enjoy a brief presentation detailing the history and construction of the Burj Khalifa. Children under three can enter for free, and visitors aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The classic package is available daily from 7 am to midnight, with the last entry at 11 pm.

For those seeking an elevated experience, the premium package offers access to level 148, in addition to levels 124 and 125. Priced from Dhs399, this package also includes refreshments, such as Arabic coffee and sweets, and provides stunning views from an even higher point. The premium experience is available from 9 am to 11 pm daily, with the last entry at 10 pm.

Tip: If you’re visiting Dubai, consider using your Emirates boarding pass for discounts on some of the city’s top attractions, including 15% off tickets during peak hours at “At The Top.”
