UAE Fuel Prices for January 2025 Announced
The much-anticipated fuel prices for January 2025 have been revealed, and to the surprise of many, they remain unchanged from the previous month. While the New Year typically inspires individuals to set resolutions and embrace changes, the UAE’s fuel price committee seems to have taken a different approach.
In the UAE, petrol prices are officially announced on the last day of each month by the federal government through its petroleum firm, Emarat. The new fuel rates will take effect on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
January 2025 Petrol Prices
- Super 98: Dhs2.61 per litre
- Special 95: Dhs2.50 per litre
- E-Plus 91: Dhs2.43 per litre
- Diesel: Dhs2.68 per litre
As confirmed by the UAE Fuel Price Committee via their official Twitter account, fuel prices are standardized across all seven emirates, with revisions made on a monthly basis. This consistency in pricing follows a seasonal trend, where prices dipped during the summer and autumn months, particularly in June, July, September, and October.
Since the liberalization of fuel prices in 2015, the UAE has adopted a monthly revision system in line with global oil market fluctuations. Notably, petrol prices reached a record high in July 2022, with Super 98 reaching Dhs4.63 per litre. The prices in 2023 showed peaks in October but displayed a steady decline in November, December, and into January.
