Beginning on Saturday, January 4, and running through Sunday, April 20, this exciting season promises a plethora of entertainment, art festivals, and engaging activities under the captivating theme of ‘Taking a Walk on the Art Side’. If you’re eager to express yourself and immerse yourself in the artistic vibe, here’s a glimpse of what to expect in the coming months.
What to Expect at Dubai Art Season
The opening event will feature the much-anticipated fourth edition of the Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert festival. Picture yourself enjoying popcorn beneath the stars while delving into a variety of thought-provoking topics through film screenings, live performances, workshops, and insightful panel discussions. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, this event will also showcase public art installations, immersive experiences, family-friendly zones, and delicious homegrown food stalls to keep your energy levels high as you soak in the cultural atmosphere.
The comprehensive program will boast over 200 artistic events, but make sure to mark your calendars for the next significant highlight: the Al Quoz Arts Fest, taking place on Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26. Prepare for a weekend brimming with pop-up shops, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops, all while enjoying the beats from local DJs and savoring culinary delights from various food trucks, making it a fantastic family outing.
Dubai Art Season will also feature the esteemed Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, kicking off on Wednesday, January 29, and running until Monday, March 3, at the InterContinental Hotel in Festival City. This is a must-attend event for aspiring writers, as the festival will host over 150 events, including author talks, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, providing ample opportunity to hone your craft.
On Friday, January 31, the Sikka Art and Design Festival will commence at the historic Al Shindagha Neighbourhood, showcasing outstanding artworks from both Emirati and resident artists, complemented by live entertainment, musical performances, workshops, and engaging talks.

As the season draws to a close, it will culminate in the much-anticipated 18th edition of Art Dubai, held at Madinat Jumeirah from Friday, April 18, to Sunday, April 20. This prestigious international art fair will feature more than 120 presentations from over 60 cities across 40 countries. The showcased works will fall into four distinct categories: Contemporary, Bawwaba (works created specifically for Art Dubai or within the past year), Art Dubai Modern, and Art Dubai Digital. Alongside engaging talks, new commissions will be unveiled, and renowned artists will debut their latest creations during this vibrant period.
