Enhanced Service to Ho Chi Minh City
Emirates is responding to the growing demand by adding a second daily flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, just in time for the Lunar New Year festivities. Initially set for February 1, 2025, this additional flight was moved up due to increased interest surrounding the Lunar New Year Festival, which falls on January 29 this year.
Increased Frequency to Colombo
Starting Friday, January 2, Emirates will introduce a sixth weekly flight to Colombo, making it more convenient for travelers heading to Sri Lanka. Operating from Dubai International Airport, this new service will boost seat capacity on this route by an impressive 30 percent. The flights will operate six times a week (excluding Wednesdays), departing from DXB at 10:05 AM and arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport at 4 PM local time.
New Johannesburg Connection
Emirates is expanding its reach with a fourth daily flight to Johannesburg, one of its most sought-after destinations. Set to launch on Saturday, March 1, this additional flight will be operated using a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, providing 708 extra seats daily to and from South Africa’s busiest international airport. The new EK767 flight departs Dubai at 12:10 AM, landing in Johannesburg at 6:20 AM. The return flight, EK768, leaves Johannesburg at 10:15 AM, arriving back in Dubai at 8:15 AM.
Daily Flights to Addis Ababa
In another exciting development, Emirates will now offer daily flights connecting Dubai with Addis Ababa, effective Wednesday, January 1, 2025, enhancing travel options to the vibrant Ethiopian capital.
New Flight to Melbourne
Starting Sunday, March 30, Emirates will introduce a third direct flight to Melbourne, operated with one of its newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Currently, Emirates runs two daily flights between Dubai and Melbourne using four-class Airbus A380s, but this new addition will increase services to three daily flights. This change will streamline connections for passengers traveling from Dubai by replacing the previous operations between Singapore and Melbourne.
