UAE Residents Benefit from New e-Visa-on-Arrival Service for Indonesia

Exciting Changes for UAE Residents Traveling to Indonesia

A significant transformation has been introduced for travelers heading to one of Dubai’s most sought-after holiday destinations. As of Tuesday, January 21, residents of the UAE can take advantage of a more straightforward, secure, and efficient e-visa-on-arrival service when planning their trips to Indonesia. This innovative change streamlines the application process for nationals from 97 eligible countries who wish to obtain a short-term tourist e-visa for Indonesia.

With this new service, travelers arriving at all international airports and seaports in Bali, Jakarta, and throughout Indonesia can bypass long immigration queues, making their entry into the country much quicker and more convenient. VFS Global has launched a user-friendly digital platform that significantly simplifies the application for an e-visa.

To utilize this service, travelers simply need to visit the Indonesian e-visa-on-arrival website prior to their journey. After submitting the necessary documents and paying the required fees, they will receive a pre-approved email confirming their visa. By shifting the payment process online for nationals of the 97 eligible countries, many travelers can enjoy a more seamless experience at immigration counters.

This service will be offered in seven different languages, including English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and French, enhancing accessibility for a diverse range of travelers. Moreover, for those flying with Emirates Airlines, the e-visa-on-arrival application service will be particularly smooth due to a collaboration between the airline and VFS Global.

Jiten Vyas, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Business Development at VFS Global, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, stating, “The launch of this innovative, secure, and user-friendly digital e-Visa on Arrival platform for Indonesia will undoubtedly streamline the visa application process, making it faster, easier, and more convenient. With Indonesia being a globally sought-after destination, we are honored to assist visitors from 97 countries in facilitating their entry into this incredible country through this platform. This user-friendly and highly secure digital e-Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) service will considerably enhance the visa application experience, thereby facilitating an increase in tourism to the country.”
