Coldplay is gearing up for an exhilarating week as they prepare to perform four sold-out concerts in Abu Dhabi. If you’re as excited as we are, it’s essential to ensure that your journey to the Zayed Sports City Stadium is as smooth as possible. Earlier this week, it was announced that there will be no parking available in the vicinity of the 45,000-seat national football stadium to mitigate congestion. Therefore, fans are encouraged to utilize a park-and-ride system to reach the venue seamlessly.

Free shuttle bus services have been confirmed for Coldplay ticket holders traveling from both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. If you’re coming from Dubai, it’s important to note that you will need to secure an additional ticket in advance to travel from Expo City Dubai directly to the concert. These tickets can be obtained through Live Nation Middle East. For those starting their journey from Abu Dhabi, four designated park-and-ride locations have been established: Al Shahama, Sas Al Nakhl, Al Raha, and Nation Towers. If you choose Al Shahama, be sure to book your free ticket ahead of time.

For those opting for a taxi, a specific drop-off and pick-up point has been arranged. Taxi passengers will be dropped off at Wahat Al Karama and will then take a bus to the concert venue. It’s worth noting that while these services are park-and-ride options, you do not actually need to drive a vehicle to use them. As long as you can reach any of these locations and possess a ticket for the buses at Expo City or Al Shahama, you’ll be able to hop on any available shuttle bus.

Coldplay Shuttle Bus Journey Times

The shuttle buses will run continuously until shortly before the doors close for the shows. Doors will shut at 8:30 PM, with Coldplay expected to take the stage at 7:45 PM. To better assist with your travel plans, event organizers have provided departure times for the first buses from each location. Whether you’re driving, catching a taxi, or planning to walk, you’ll be able to create a schedule that works for you.

Travel times are approximate and may vary depending on traffic conditions on the days of the concerts. From Expo City Dubai, buses will commence departing from the Sustainability Parking zone at 12:50 PM, with the last bus leaving at 6:00 PM. The estimated travel time is approximately one hour and 30 minutes.

For those traveling from Al Shahama, registration for bus tickets is required. This shuttle service will begin at 1:57 PM, with the final bus departing at 7:08 PM, and travel times from this location are expected to be around 30 minutes. The closest park-and-ride shuttle bus location is Sas Al Nakhl in Abu Dhabi, starting its service at 2:00 PM, with journeys expected to take about 14 minutes. The final bus timing for this service has yet to be announced.

The remaining park-and-ride options in Abu Dhabi, Al Raha, and Nation Towers, will both have an estimated travel time of 25 minutes to the venue. Services from these locations will also kick off at 2:00 PM, although the final bus timings are still pending confirmation. The timing details for the taxi drop-off and pick-up point at Wahat Al Karama have not been released yet, but be prepared for a busy atmosphere since this location is the closest to the venue.

Returning shuttles will begin half an hour after the concert concludes, with the last buses departing from Zayed Sports City Stadium at 1:00 AM.
